Submission Guidelines

2014 Submission Guidelines
  • Date: Saturday and Sunday, November 22 and 23, 2014
  • Location: Carrboro Century Center in Carrboro
  • Mission: To support and promote film and video artists
We are now taking feature films submissions along with the short films. Submissions may come from anywhere in the world.

If you are unable to use the online submittal system please email us.

  • All film entries will be submitted through our online system unless prior arrangements have been made with the Festival
  • No film will be reviewed without a completed entry form and paid entry fee
  • You must submit and pay for each film individually, but there is no limit to the total number of your entries
  • Submission does not guarantee acceptance
  • Submission fees will not be refunded
  • Filmmakers must provide a link to view film online as a screener. We no longer accept DVD screener copies.
Deadlines & Fees
  • Must be submitted by September 30, 2014
  • $10 per film
Acceptance Notification
We will do our best to notify all filmmakers regarding their acceptance status by October 30. Please do not contact us before this deadline. All accepted entries will be required to provide a h.264 720 Quicktime or better to use in the Carrboro Film Festival.

Special Note
Only original and legally cleared material will be accepted into the Carrboro Film Festival. In other words, you must have written, created or otherwise have obtained legal rights to use everything appearing within your film, including, but not limited to, all footage, all visual images, all sounds, all music, all effects. We will ask for documented proof of your rights to use certain copyrighted or otherwise protected material. Failure to provide proof of such rights will result in disqualification from participation in the Carrboro film festival.
