Town of Carrboro Announces Summer Apprenticeship for the Arts

The Town of Carrboro announces a Summer Apprenticeship for the Arts for 2017!

The Town of Carrboro is offering an award up to $2,000 to assist emerging young artists in developing their talent through a summer apprenticeship. There are two or more apprenticeships available each funded up to $2000.

Purpose: To encourage and support emerging young artists who are residents of Carrboro by facilitating a summer apprenticeship with an artist or arts organization.

Eligibility: Current high school juniors and graduating high school seniors, as well as college students and those who have graduated from college within the last year. Applicants must live in Carrboro. Applicants must have a proven interest in the visual and/or performing arts and have secured an apprenticeship with a local artist or arts organization. The apprenticeship must be for at least 15 hours per week for at least 10 weeks.

Deadline: May 26th, 2017 @ 5:00pm

To be considered for this apprenticeship, interested partiesshould submit an application along with 2 letters of reference.
