Carrboro Music Festival

The 17th annual Carrboro Music Festival will be held on Sunday, September 28th, 2014 with a kickoff set of events scheduled for September 27, 2014.

The event is a product of a coordinated effort by the Carrboro Recreation and Parks Department and the Carrboro Music Festival Planning Committee.

This is Carrboro's effort to showcase Triangle-area performers and the varied musical styles they represent.  All of the performers donate their talents to foster a strong sense of community and to reveal their talents to a wider audience.

On Saturday, September 27th, the 2014 event will begin with music from several bands at the Carrboro Town Commons (2:00pm-6:00pm).  Later, on Saturday at the Cat's Cradle Back Room, additional great bands will be performing.

On Sunday, September 28th, Carrboro's day long, free festival will be featuring over 180 performing acts at 25 indoor and outdoor venues. In the space of a few hours within downtown Carrboro, a listener can hear bluegrass, folk, jazz, country, rock and roll, classical, and world music.
The 2014 schedule is being finalized.  Please see the right-hand side for links to the current list of performers and venues.  The remaining stages will be included soon.
There will be a free shuttle bus from 12:00pm - 8:00pm from the rear lot behind Carrboro Plaza (Old Fayetteville Road entrance) through Carrboro and back!  The shuttle will stop at all standard stops.
