The North Carolina Department of Transportation will close a section of Old NC 86 starting Monday, June 19th. The closure is to replace an aging pipe that crosses underneath Old NC 86. Crews will close the road at 08:00 AM on June 19th, and the roadway is scheduled to reopen by 5:00 PM on July 7th.
If traveling near the road closure motorists should be cautious, obey all signs, follow the directions given by those directing traffic, and allow additional time to reach your destination.Motorists traveling through the area will be detoured onto Eubanks Road, Rogers Road, and Homestead Road.
