Yard Waste
Yard Waste Collection
Carrboro provides yard waste collection twice per month for single-family homes and duplexes year-round. Yard waste such as branches, grass, leaves, shrubbery, trimmings, and weeds may be placed in a 95-gallon water-tight roll-out container, paper bags, or raked in a pile curbside for collection. No plastic bags are allowed.
Large or oversized piles may incur a fee; please contact Public Works for details.
To help keep our community safe, especially for cyclists and pedestrians, residents are asked to put yard waste out close to their collection day and avoid placing leaves in the street or blocking sidewalks, bike lanes, or storm drains.
